Top 5 Brands Supporting LGBTQ2+

For this blog, I will be talking about mainstream brands that are found in Canada that at some point have had a branding campaign that was devoted to the LGBTQ2+ community. It will mostly focus on brands that made products that were inspired by the LGBTQ2+ community. These companies might have even donated a portion or all of the sails to a charity that supports the LGBTQ2+ community.

1: Adidas Pride Pack

The first company Adidas with their “Pride Pack” apparel of shows, shirts, shorts, sweaters, bags, and hats. This is a good example of a company’s support for the LGBTQ2+ community. Their apparel is stylish with fun rainbow Adidas logos and soles of shoes. There are also shoos with pastel colors that are subtler for people that might not want to wear a full out rainbow on their foot. There is something for everyone in this collection that looks comfortable and could be worn every day. 2: under armor: United We Win

Another bigger company supporting the LGBTQ2+ community in a big way. The under armor bran made a line of clothing and shoes with a message of “no matter who you love, how you look, where you’re from, or what sport you play,” Under Armor will “stand behind all athletes, no exceptions”. This is an amazing message that shows the company’s support and that they won’t discriminate. The other gate thing about this clothing line is that all proceeds 100% went to Athlete Ally charity whose objective is to abolish discrimination in sports. 3. Calvin Klein: Wear Yours With Pride

The Calvin Klein brand made a line of undergarments that are feathering caught colors and of course rainbows. They are supporting the LGBTQ2+ community by supporting a charity called the Human Rights Campaign Foundation. It was unclear how much or what percent of the proceeds they were going to donate. However, this is good support form the Calvin Klein Company were on their website they said that the line was “in support of LGBTQ equality”. 4. H&M: Pride Out Loud

H & M have a nice line of clothing for pride and the proceeds from the sales will go to United Nations Human Rights Office Free & Equal Campaign, 10% of sales (guaranteed minimum of $350,000). This is a great support for the LGBTQ2+ community as both of that charity help the community and donating to them will make it possible for them to help even more people. The clothing line is mostly shirts with words like love and pride in the colors of the rainbow. It’s a nice line and is a great support for the community. 5. American Eagle: It Gets Better

Finally, American Eagle showed their support to throw a clothing line and giving to charity. They supported the charity It Gets Better which is a charity that helps young LGBTQ2+ and fights for rights of the LGBTQ2+ community. American Eagle gave 100% of the proceeds from the clothing they sold that was in the “it gets better” line. The clothing in this line had different sayings on them some of my favorites being, super gay, love is the future, love is love and so much more. There are a lot of colors and it’s mostly t-shirts but there are some hoodies as well.
