On May 26th I visited Vaughan Mills Mall to casually shop and pick up a few essentials. I’ve never shopped at PINK before and I was intrigued by the bright colours that stood out and therefore I decided to enter. Considering the store only produced female clothing and products; when walking in, I noticed that there were only females shopping. Specifically teenagers and young adults.

What is pink?
PINK is the sister store to Victoria’s Secret. The main difference between Victoria’s Secret and PINK is that PINK focusses more on “College” girl apparel and lingerie while VS focusses mainly on lingerie for ladies aged from 16-30. PINK is an American designer, manufacturer, and marketer of women’s lingerie, womenswear, and beauty products. The company was founded in 1984 and it has grown to be a popular brand as the years progressed.

Mannequins

The mannequins at the PINK store are very well put together. I really like how each mannequin incorporates the main items that the store sells. As well as I liked how there were mannequins to showcase each new collection that they came out with at the tine. PINK is both a lingerie store and clothing store and there were mannequins that had a combination of both clothing and lingerie. I didn’t count; however I am certain that there was a minimum of 20 mannequins. Some wore just lingerie or clothing, while some mannequins had a mixture of both lingerie and clothing. For example, in the picture above, you could see the clothing pieces and then under the clothing you could notice the different lingerie that they wanted to advertise. A lot of the mannequins that I looked at matched my style and watching the mannequins gave me a lot of ideas on how I can change my style or even add to it.

In addition, you could tell that the mannequins are dressed per season. When I visited the mall and I entered the store, there were a lot of brightly coloured clothing like orange, yellow, green etc. As well as there were a lot of floral items. You could tell that these mannequins were dressed for the season weather.
Advertisements

PINK does a great job with all their advertisements. They mention any current deals as well as they include prices which can make a big difference to the shoppers. I think it’s a good method to include the original prices and then the sale price as it shows its consumers how good of a deal it really is. As well as using different fonts and colours can really make an ad stand out. For example, in the picture above, they bolded and increased the font size of “Best Outfit Ever”. For me, that was the first think I noticed when I saw the ad, it really caught my attention.
pace of the store
When I walked into the store, I could tell it was a welcoming environment. I was greeted as soon as I walked into the store and I felt very welcomed. The store was very open and there was a lot of room to move around. There was a good number of individuals shopping as well as there were plenty of approachable fashion consultants to talk to and ask for help. The store was overcrowded nor was it empty. In addition, it’s a very organized environment and it was organized in way that it was really easy to find your sizes and preferable styles.
Quality

Every item in the store is made in Sri Lanka. Their items are very good quality and therefore, I think that the price tag matches the item. Compared to other lingerie stores, I’ve noticed that their prices are more reasonable for their quality and design. They always have some sort of sale and the prices turn out to be very reasonable. Overall, they really stick to their word!
